Minnesota’s Custom Roto Mold Announces Purchase and Expansion
October 26, 2012
Rotational molder Custom Roto Mold (CRM) announced today they have embarked on expansions in 3 critical areas of operations. The first segment of planned expansion involved an asset purchase of the former Phoenix Plastics of Little Falls, MN. CRM’s Corey Claussen described the asset purchase of Phoenix Plastics as fitting well with the current growth strategy in place for the Benson, MN molder. Claussen said, “Bringing the facility at Little Falls on board enhances our company’s ability to deliver on increased demands for our services from both existing and new customers, with improved logistics. We understood as part of growth strategy that expansion could include multiple locations.”
Claussen continued, “In addition to the Little Falls purchase, our second phase of current expansion includes the addition of a Ferry 370 oven at the Benson location, coming on-line at this time. This complements our current array of Ferry ovens, known for consistent process control and reliable production results. We welcome the added capacity of the 370.”
The 3rd growth segment for CRM involves the expansion of CRM Engineering to a recently secured facility just across the street from the main building. CRM has experienced significant growth in highly engineering poly and nylon molded product over the last several years, and remain committed to staffing at levels required to technically service these products. “This is a direction multiple OEMs, our customers, are heading: specific application of complex molded parts and assemblies to efficiently support their production lines to a higher degree, and we’ve made a strategic decision to be at the front edge of these demanding applications” Claussen summarized. “We expect to be fully operational in the new engineering facility by the end of October this year.
CRM currently services multiple industries through OEM product support and sales of proprietary product, shipping both nationally and internationally. Current product offerings include multiple application moldings for the Ag, Construction, and Industrial Equipment, Marketing and Recreational industries, and include products currently utilized in Military applications.
